Millions Of Android Phones In India At Risk! Hackers Can Steal Your Data And Money: Here's What To Do
Android is an open-source operating system mainly designed for mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and other embedded systems.
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high-risk warning for Android users in India. They identified multiple vulnerabilities in Android phones with versions 15, 14, 13, 12 and 12L that could be exploited by hackers. These vulnerabilities could allow hackers to steal sensitive data, gain higher system access, run malicious code, or even crash devices. Users are advised to update their devices as soon as possible to stay protected.
"Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Android which could be exploited by an attacker to obtain sensitive information, gain elevated privileges, execute arbitrary code or cause denial of service (DoS) condition on the targeted system," CERT-In researchers said.
Who Are At Risk: All Android device makers (OEMs) and users.
Impact: Hackers could steal sensitive data, gain extra control over the system, or compromise device security.
